TV One Has Star-Packed Weekend With "TV One Access" Special On The World Of Black Child Superstars Sunday, April 27 At 8 PM, Followed By An All-New TV

Silver Spring, MD (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- We watched them on TV, bought tickets to their movies, listened to their CDs, read about them in fan magazines and virtually grew up with them. They certainly seemed to have it all. But did they? They were our favorite Black child stars, and this month, "TV One Access" gets the scoop directly from these ex-kid performers what it was like growing up in the spotlight: Did they all become millionaires? Did they miss having a regular childhood? Would they do it all again? And what are they doing now? Viewers will find out when the "TV One Access" special debuts Sunday, April 27 from 8-9 PM ET.

Joining host Jamal Munnerlyn as co-hosts for this special episode are two of America's favorite former TV child stars, Keisha Knight Pulliam of The Cosby Show, and Tatyana Ali of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. This episode of "TV One Access" features interviews with ex-child stars Raven-Symoné, Tempestt Bledsoe and Lisa Bonet (The Cosby Show); Todd Bridges and Gary Coleman (Diff'rent Strokes); Will Smith and Alfonso Ribeiro (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air); Tia and Tamera Mowry (Sister, Sister); Kim Fields (The Facts of Life); Brandy (Moesha); and the 'Lil rappers Bow Wow, Romeo and Wayne.

Then on Sunday, April 27 from 9-10 PM ET, Cedric the Entertainer, the man whose name says it all, sits down for an entire hour with "TV One on One" host Cathy Hughes to reveal the man behind the unusual name. From comedian to actor, from producer/director to musician, and author to philanthropist, there's nothing this enormously talented Renaissance man can't tackle and do well. The St. Louis native talks to Hughes about his professional role models, his varied and successful night club, television and movie career, how he came up with his unusual name, and how and why he created the award-winning sketch/variety show "Cedric the Entertainer Presents," that originally aired on Fox and now airs on TV One. He also talks passionately about his charitable foundation for inner-city youth, the project nearest and dearest to his heart.

As a warm up to the "TV One on One" interview, TV One celebrates this special funnyman Saturday, April 26 beginning at noon with a 10-hour marathon of "Cedric 'The Entertainer' Presents," the hilarious variety/sketch comedy series.

The "TV One on One" interview with Cedric the Entertainer repeats Sunday, April 27 at midnight, Thursday, May 1 at 9 AM.
